Darwin Streaming Server (DSS) allows you to deliver real-time media over the Internet using RTP and RTSP protocols. It is based on the same code as Apple's QuickTime Streaming Server but designed to run on alternative software platforms (in this case, Windows NT). Features of DSS include skip protection, flexible authentication, playlist functionality, and Web-based administration. This tool can be used to create 24-hour Internet radio stations, broadcast live events, and hold videoconferences.
