gamers appreciate in a game is realism. America's Army (AA) is one of the most realistic games since pong and take my word if you loved Counter Strike you'll definitely consider yourself blessed after playing this game.

AA is awe-inspiring, realistic and takes more skill than most of the other games. The gameplay is amazing. It's slow paced and requires great deal of skill and co-ordination. Teamwork and patience are awfully essential. Proper communication with teammates is essential and if you don't communicate well you might get toast in no time.

AA is pretty tough to get used to but you get used to it pretty quickly. The skill that you need to master this game is great. AA isn't about being yourself (like most of the newbies do while playing games like CS) it's actually about being part of the team and doing some serious butt kickin' with your mates.Often I've seen newbies playing AA in a similar way as they play CS, but believe me this game is a lot different. Unlike CS, AA is not standing in front of each other and pumping bullets into each other until one of the two falls.

Graphics.WOW. Just one sentence sums it all. It's unlike anything you've ever seen in a game! The terrain looks great. The game runs real smooth even on my PIII 833 MHz with 128 MB RAM and a GeForce 2 MX. The smoke grenades are cool. Character animation's are well done too. The debris flying out when a grenade explodes is amazingly done. Even the mistmoving over the terrain is realistic unlike other games where it runs in blocks and too fast. God knows how they do it!

The sound in AA gets a perfect ten of ten. It makes you feel the scene in an actual battlefield. Grenades bursting, debris falling, the clinging of bullets on metallic objects, and rustling of leaves are extremely realistic sounds and reflect great quality. In outdoor missions birds can be heard chirping which gives you a feeling that you are really outdoor. In fact I haven't been able to notice this feature in any game with an exception of SOFII.

So go ahead, download the game from americasarmy.com and get into the action straightaway! Hey but before that most of you might consider an upgrade :-)
