Saw II Review

Synopsis: Saw II is a sequel to last October's Saw, which was the story about a chained-up victim being forced to saw off his limb as a trade-off against suffering even more. But essentially, this is one more movie that, regardless of its setting or even planet, exists to knock off its cast members one by one. Gee, we haven't seen this one since last week's Doom. And if this movie is inferior to Doom, which was inferior to January's remake of Assault on Precinct 13, which was inferior to the Assault original ... well, where are we in the food chain? Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) is back.

The brilliant, disturbed mastermind who wreaked havoc is back for another round of horrifying life-or-death games. When a new murder victim is discovered with all the signs of Jigsaw's hand, Detective Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) begins a full investigation and apprehends Jigsaw with little effort. But for Jigsaw, getting caught is just another part of his nefarious plan. Eight more of his victims are already fighting for their lives--and now it's time for Mason to join the game.
