Synopsis: Based on Laura Hillenbrand's best seller, Seabiscuit tells the story of a knobby-kneed, ungainly thoroughbred racehorse that captured the nation's heart during the Depression. Red Pollard (Tobey Maguire) is a failed boxer and too-tall jockey who has spent much of his life on the streets. He is hired by businessman Charles Howard as a horse whisperer for horse named Seabiscuit.

Seabiscuit is a pedigree horse who has never won a race and is a disappointment to everyone who has owned him. Tom soon discovers Seabiscuit. He likes the horse's spirit, and thinks he can be a winner.

After training Seabiscuit to abandon his loser's mindset, Charles enters him in a race at Santa Anita Park. Soon, the underdog is winning races and setting records.
