Why should you exchange Links?

There are several reasons why you should exchange links.

Banner exchange:

Placing you companies banner on someone else's website is called a banner exchange. Usually there is a ratio involved, for e.g.: ( 3:2 ratio) this would means for every 3 times a banner is shown on your website, your banner will be shown on an other site 2 times.

Paid Link exchange:

Some sites which rank very high on the search engines charge for placing your link on their websites. These sites usually have a page rank of 8 or above. Having your links on these websites would generally boost your overall site rank. Though paying for a link is not a very common practice.

Text Link Exchange ( Link swaps):

When an href link pointing to your site is placed on some other website, is called text link exchange. Text link exchange is the most preferred type of link exchange.

Reciprocal Link Exchange

When you place a link of a website on your site and then the same website places a link to your website from his site, is called a reciprocal link exchange.
